Parent Letter, February 4, 2024

Dear Aquatics Families,

We are excited to announce the final two Junior Lifeguard sessions of the season on Tuesday, February 6, and Friday, February 9. We invite your athlete to join us for a memorable end to the week, with sessions held at their usual times. Please ensure pickups are at 5 PM from either Computech or the Edison Pool on both days.

Looking ahead, our middle school swim team will begin on Tuesday, February 13. We welcome swimmers of all skill levels to take part in this exceptional chance to join our regional aquatics program. We encourage your student to bring along friends from Computech and Gaston to join in the fun! For those needing a sports packet, they can consult with Mr. Bernyk in Room 82 at Computech or Mr. Vinson in Room 101 at Gaston. On the first day of practice, Gaston students should meet Mr. Vinson in Room 101, while Computech students will meet Mr. Bernyk behind the Computech Gym.

Additionally, for swim meets hosted at Edison, we are seeking parent volunteers for three essential roles: Starter (prior swim meet experience required), Colorado Operator (experience preferred, but training is available), and Computer Timekeeper (familiarity with Meet Manager is a plus, but training is provided). If you are interested in contributing to our team’s success in any of these capacities, please contact Mr. Bernyk or myself. We would be thrilled to discuss these opportunities with you.
